Every cartoon remains the intellectual property of its creator, whether it is licensed free of charge or as part of a paid agreement.
You may not use a Walk the Fish cartoon without permission.
Selected newspapers and publications have been granted permission to publish Walk the Fish cartoons under individual licensing agreements. Permission to publish does not transfer copyright ownership.
What You May Not Do
Unless you have written permission, please don’t:
- Repost cartoons on websites, blogs, social media platforms, or forums.
- Use them in newsletters, presentations, or marketing materials.
- Remove watermarks, logos, or credits.
- Alter, redraw, crop, recolour, or otherwise modify the artwork or text.
- Sell, sublicense, redistribute, or otherwise distribute the cartoons.
- Use the cartoons, artwork, or text to train AI models or create derivative works.
What Is Allowed
You’re welcome to:
- Share a link to any Walk the Fish page or cartoon on this website.
- Quote brief excerpts or include limited screenshots for commentary, criticism, or news reporting, where permitted by applicable copyright laws (such as fair dealing or fair use), provided proper credit and a link back to Walk the Fish are included.
